Haunted Mansion Story
This is my first ever full project on twine intention for Project 1, I am most likely focusing on the narrative and the a risk of choice for my twine game. My plan is to make an interesting story. I want the players to enjoy what is read and experience of making tough choices. Some could lead to a good path or some good lead to a bad path. The is story gonna be a horror genre. So adding little suspense or anxiety on their choices makes the player to feel engaged to the game. I also wanted to added some sort of puzzles in the game. So the plan is I'm gonna start creating a story, a character, a setting and a list of choices. Then also create a puzzle for the players that needs to progress the story. Of Couse looking up some researches. In the coding process, I’ll be working if/ else statements. Also formatting an options/choices.
The story is about Tyke and his dog Sushi, who they had come across a very deadly situation where they are trapped in a haunted mansion full with very scary ghost. The goal in the story is to help Tyke and his dog try to find a way out of this dangerous curse place.

Loved the suspense. I did not get to find Sushi, however I enjoyed it a lot. Like the simple detail of opening things like: door, closet, looking behind a fountain (I like how it reveals what is inside/behind/next to it). I also enjoyed the aspect of a quest: like how I had to grab something from another passage and bring it back-only thing there is maybe you could have played with the language when that happens. I.e when you go back to a room or a different passage to take something, make it familiar enough, but a little different (which you started to do already). Overall liked it a lot, quite suspenseful.
The gameplay is very engaging with a well-written storyline. I love how open-ended the game is, and that players are given many different options, and freely explore the mansion. I got two bad endings, it would be interesting to see what's the true ending.
